‘Two-day Meditation Retreat and Memorial Ceremony for the 21st Anniversary of Zen Master Seung Sahn’s passing & Special Chanting Dedication for Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Disaster’

The memorial ceremony commemorating the 21st anniversary of Zen Master Seung Sahn’s passing was successfully completed on Nov 30th at Hae Su Zen Center.

We specially organised the two-day meditation retreat to express gratitude for Zen Master’s teaching, through diligent practice. In addition to a captivating video created by AI showing Zen Master Seung Sahn’s insightful dharma talk, the sharing by Sifu, Bon Sun Sunim JDPS, experienced as well as new zen students allowed us, whether participating online or in-person, to collectively remember Zen Master’s teachings and charisma.

On the morning of Nov 30th, we also held a special chanting session for the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Fire Incident, offering blessings and dedications for the victims.

May all those injured in the disaster recover soon, may the deceased be reborn in a good place, rest in peace in Pure Land and be free from suffering, may both the living and the deceased find peace.

May the Hong Kong society work together to help the people affected by the disaster rebuild their home soon. May their body, mind and spirits be comforted and their pain be healed quickly. May the community return to harmonious life, may everyone live in peace and prosperity, transforming their lives with faith and action to overcome these difficult times together.

We would also like to take this opportunity to express gratitude to all the firefighters, medical personnel, police and volunteer teams involved in the rescue. We wish everyone safety, auspiciousness and smooth progress in everything.
